South Carolina Woman Gets Prison Time For Forging Prescriptions

On Tuesday, it was announced that a woman from Wellford, South Carolina had been sentenced to prison for Aggravated Identity Theft and Obtaining a Controlled Substance by Fraud. 41-year-old Felicia L. Prysock was sentenced to 24 months and one day in prison. The defendant was also ordered to pay $1,132.12 in restitution to Medicaid.

Evidence showed that Prysock filed ten different prescriptions. Those prescriptions were forged in the names of a doctor and her children. The defendant had Medicaid pay for the prescription. These activities took place between July of 2016 to April of 2017.

An investigation revealed that the prescriptions were for Schedule II opioids, including Adderall, oxycodone and hydrocodone. Again, Felicia L. Prysock was sentenced to 24 months and one day in prison. Additional details have been made available here.
