On May the 24th, Sunnova Energy Corporation, one of the United States’ leading residential solar service providers, launched a new service, PowerStack. The new service combines solar and storage in a convenient bundle to maximize a home’s solar energy consumption. The plan was designed to better accommodate the demand among residential customers for affordable, clean power during the day and at night. The solar+storage system can be customized to better suit the homeowner’s precise needs based on their estimated annual energy consumption.

With the PowerStack, customers will have access to a full-scale solar system capable of producing, storing and consuming the power generated from the sun. Ultimately, the technology helps to cover the daily energy needs for each customer. Nevertheless, there may be times when the solar+storage system is simply unable to meet the client’s needs. The PowerStack system is interconnected to the grid to ensure electricity can still be obtained through the utility company.

Sunnova has made it their mission to deliver low-cost, worry-free solar power to their clients. The PowerStack is another milestone in the company’s plans. The system is available without a down payment. Customers should expect to pay a fixed monthly rate. The system is covered by Sunnova’s cutting-edge service, which includes a lifetime battery replacement and a 25-year warranty. The solar+storage system also offers a handful of other benefits.

The company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Jordan Fruge, confirmed that the service will first be introduced in Hawaii in partnership with Sunetric. The PowerStack meets all requirements for the Customer Self-Supply tariff in the state, so this makes it a natural choice. Over the course of 2017, Sunnova will take steps to introduce the new service plan to other markets throughout the United States. More details can be found here.
