TeleTech Holdings is a business process outsourcing company. The firm, which was founded in 1982, is based out of Englewood, Colorado. In early 2017, it was announced that TeleTech employed approximately 48,000 individuals across 19 countries. TeleTech offers customer support and other services to other companies. Unfortunately, TeleTech has announced that more than 350 positions will soon be cut.
TeleTech filed a notice to the Texas Workforce Commission on July 25, 2017. According to the notice, TeleTech will cut 358 jobs on September 30, 2017. While the company previously announced that more than 400 employees would be impacted, they’ve been able to find positions for 57 employees at its Ennis location.
The job loss is a direct result of the company shutting down its Richardson facility. A spokeswoman with the company said that the company is taking steps to consolidate its Texas workforce. Impacted employees are encouraged to apply for positions with the company’s Temple and Ennis operations.
The majority of the affected staff members worked as healthcare customer service agents.
