The Cold Heading Company has been in business since 1912. The company manufactures an assortment of products, including fasteners for pretty much any industry. This week, The Ohio Office of Workforce Development received a WARN notification from The Cold Heading Company.
According to that letter, the company will be reducing the workforce at its Cleveland, Ohio facility. The facility is located at 4444 Lee Road and it will be closing entirely. The company cites a change in business circumstances for the reason behind the closure.
The plant’s closing is expected to take place on June 30, 2018. All employees were notified on February 1, 2018. As a result of the closure, approximately 52 employees are expected to lose their jobs permanently. The workers are not represented by a union. Therefore, bumping rights do not exist.
The impacted workers include 10 technicians, 20 operators, and eight leaders. The full WARN notification can be found here.
