This week, Tomlinson Industries submitted a WARN notice with the Ohio Office of Workforce Development. The letter explains that the company will be permanently closing its Garfield Heights plant. The plant is located at 13700 Broadway Avenue in Garfield Heights. As a result, the company will be laying off multiple workers.
The letter explains that the layoffs and closing are the result of the company’s decision to terminate its operations at this location. Some or all of the manufacturing and distribution employees will be impacted. In total, it is expected that 60 workers will be laid off. The layoffs and closures are expected to be permanent.
The company anticipates that the process will begin sometime between November 10 and 24 of 2019. It will continue through roughly March 31, 2020. The full WARN notice can be found here.
