Over the past few years, WWE has worked diligently to try and gain footing in foreign markets, especially China. The company recently entered in a partnership with PPTV Sports to begin airing Raw and SmackDown events on PPTV each week. PPTV Sports also initiated a similar deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship in June of 2016. On March the 27th, the WWE (NYSE: WWE) announced that the company would soon be making history by broadcasting WrestleMania in China for the first time. The pay-per-view event will air on Monday April the 3rd at 7:00 AM Beijing time.
Those in China that wish to order the event will be able to do so starting on March 30 at 3:33 PM. Head over to WWE.PPTV.com and make a one-time payment to watch WrestleMania. Subscribers will be able to watch the pay-per-view through various channels, including Web iOS, digital media players, and Android devices. Alternatively, consumers can purchase and watch WrestleMania for a period of 30 days after the live broadcast. While the event can be watched from around the world, it will be held at the Orlando Citrus Bowl in Florida.
The pay-per-view extravaganza will feature some of the biggest names in the industry, including Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, John Cena, and The Undertaker. While WrestleMania focuses heavily on the wrestling action, the event will also include a live performance by Pitbull. WrestleMania is always one of the most valuable sporting events of the year and WrestleMania 33 should be no different. Those that order the event will be able to choose commentary in English or Mandarin.
